WorkSource Georgia Special Populations Logos

The State of Georgia's Office of Workforce Development, also known as WorkSource Georgia, is housed within the Technical College System of Georgia. WorkSource Georgia is the state's federally-funded employment and training system, working to connect talent with opportunity. These federal funds are part of a grant program called the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

I was tasked by Shemeeka Johnson with creating new logos that helped to support the main WorkSource Georgia brand that represented special populations that were previously represented underneath other programs in different state agencies that had dissolved over time for one reason or another.
This is the main WorkSource Georgia logo, with all of the branding colors, that was the basis for the creation of the special populations logos - they all needed to have a similar shape and colors while also standing out on their own. The chevron is a very common element of the logo to be used on its own, so the others were developed with this in mind. It was requested that the new logos could be used in this way as well, with just one main icon that could be used in substitution for the entire logo.
Examples of pop-up banners that are currently in use today.
Here are some examples of different shapes that were experimented with to create the 3 main icons that are in use today.
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator were used in the creation of this project.
